Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a minimum age requirement?

To journey with us, we require travelers to be at least 21 years old, despite the legal drinking age being 18 in Jamaica.

Will there be “Free Time” to explore independently?

Absolutely! While we organize various activities throughout the journey, there will be ample time for relaxation and personal pursuits. You have the flexibility to opt out of planned activities and choose your own experiences at your own expense. Please note, that refunds are not available for unused portions of the journey.

Does Jamaican Journeys by M & M offer Travel Insurance?

No, we don’t provide travel insurance directly. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance independently. Additionally, it’s advisable to check whether your health insurance covers you while traveling.

What is the Cancellation/Refund Policy?

In addition to the 25% non-refundable deposit that goes towards the balance of your journey, there is a 20% non-refundable professional services fee based on your total package price, excluding airfare. If you cancel 90 days or more before the journey commences, you’ll receive a full refund less the aforementioned fee.

However, cancellations made less than 90 days before the journey will not be eligible for a refund*. Travel Insurance may offer assistance in these cases.

Absolutely! Each traveler is entitled to a complimentary 30-minute consultation session after booking. What size group do you work with?

At Jamaican Journeys, we specialize in offering intimate and personalized experiences for groups of 10-14 people. However, if you have a larger group interested in experiencing Jamaica’s beauty together, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

We’re more than happy to discuss special accommodations and tailored arrangements for larger groups, ensuring an exceptional journey that meets your group’s needs and preferences.

How can I reserve my spot on a journey?

To secure your place on a journey, we require a non-refundable 25% deposit that will go towards the total balance of your journey, along with a completed registration form per person. Both the deposit and registration form must be received on the same day to guarantee your space for the journey.

Are there vegetarian and/or vegan options available on the journeys?

Certainly! If you’re a vegetarian and/or vegan, rest assured that we’ve got you covered. Our founder, Marla, is also a a plant-based eater, so all restaurants on our journeys will offer delicious vegetarian and vegan options.
